This fall, our parish will join hundreds of thousands of Christians to pray in the world-wide 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil. We will be praying at Mass, in our homes, and in front of Planned Parenthood Centers to end abortion. Abortion has murdered over 61 MILLION American babies since the Roe vs. Wade decision. Prayer warriors and workers at the Aid to Women Center have peaked the interest of those seeking abortions and have convinced many of them to deliver their babies instead of aborting them. Over 13,000 children have been saved since the 40 Days Vigil started in 2007.
Thanks to the vigil prayer warriors who walk the sidewalks in front of the clinics, the Planned Parenthood Clinics in Tempe and Chandler have closed, but a new clinic opened at 1837 E. Baseline, Tempe, in a complex that is not visible from the street.
The 2017 vigil is taking place September 27 – November 5. In addition to prayers at home and church, our vigil organizers will pray on the sidewalks in front of the new Tempe property. Prayer warriors are asked to pray on the sidewalk from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm each day. Brother Knights are asked to pray on the sidewalk between 9:00-11:00 am on Saturdays during the vigil.
Thank you for your support and participation for the unborn, their families, and the end to abortion.
